The Higher Education Department on Thursday declared the results of the Odisha PG Entrance Examination 2026, allowing thousands of aspiring postgraduate students to check their scores online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.
According to the department, candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now access their results by visiting the official SAMS portal. The announcement marks an important step in the postgraduate admission process for the 2026 academic session.
This year, a total of 58,613 candidates registered for the PG entrance examination. Of them, 53,901 candidates appeared for the test conducted for admission into postgraduate programmes across the state.

The entrance examination was held for admission to 50 postgraduate courses offered by higher educational institutions in Odisha. Admissions to these courses will be carried out based on the entrance examination results and the counselling process as per the admission schedule issued by the Higher Education Department.
The department has also informed that a total of 32,309 postgraduate seats are available across 132 higher educational institutions in the state. Eligible candidates are advised to check their results carefully and stay updated with the admission schedule, counselling dates, and further instructions available on the SAMS portal.
The declaration of the results is expected to pave the way for the next phase of the admission process, enabling students to secure seats in postgraduate programmes of their choice.
