Largecaps lead profit growth, mid & smallcaps outshine in revenue momentum

Large companies saw stronger net profit growth for the March 2026 quarter, driven by one-off gains, despite slower revenue expansion and wider margin contractions. Mid and small-cap firms, however, demonstrated more resilient revenue growth and smaller margin declines. This performance disparity is reflected in stock market indices, with mid and small-cap indices significantly outperforming their large-cap counterparts over the last three months.
