Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious adaptation of Ramayana has landed in the middle of another social media storm. The footage appears to feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram confronting a mystical being before firing an arrow that ends in a spectacular explosion. However, the clip has left viewers divided. Besides raising questions over its authenticity, the clip also sparked criticism over its visual effects. Several users argued that the CGI looked unfinished, surprising many since the film's VFX are being developed by Oscar-winning studio DNEG under producer Namit Malhotra. Creator Shares Behind-The-Scenes Experience Amid the ongoing discussion, film content creator Dhruv Parikshit added another layer to the controversy. Dhruv was among several creators invited to visit the Ramayana set, where they interacted with director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash while getting an exclusive look at the production. But the vision they have, I genuinely can't put it into words. The scenes I witnessed there were on the level of Avatar. I'm not exaggerating, they're truly cooking something wonderful. The character designs and the world of Ramayana feel incredibly immersive." 'Nerfed' Teaser Claim Sparks Fresh Speculation Dhruv later made a claim that quickly became the biggest talking point online. According to him, a conversation with a VFX artist suggested the makers intentionally chose not to reveal the film's best visuals. He told me that the creators deliberately uploaded a nerfed version of the Rama glimpse. They had better versions of those scenes, yet they intentionally chose to release the incomplete one. Why? Because discussions and criticism across the internet translate into free marketing." The remark spread rapidly across social media before being deleted. Dhruv later replaced it with a clarification, writing, "VFX pe kaam chal raha hai, and kaafi accha kaam ho bhi Gaya hai. Humko kuch incomplete footages bhi dikhaye the and i believe vo already complete ho chuke hain mahino pahle hi (Work on the VFX is ongoing and it is good. We were shown some incomplete footage but I believe it is all complete). And bhai, character designs!! They're gorgeous! They're absolutely wonderful. It is more like a very beautiful fantasy world, but in an Indian setting. It is going to be a great theatrical experience." Related Story: Ramayana may arrive earlier than expected!
