Odisha launches road and bridge projects worth Rs 1,191 Cr to improve connectivity
Odisha’s road and transport infrastructure received a major boost with the inauguration and launch of projects worth Rs 1,191 crore, officials said on Tuesday.
The projects were inaugurated and foundation stones laid on June 20 in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during a programme at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district.
A total of nine projects were dedicated to the public. These include four National Highway projects valued at Rs 536.88 crore. They are:
- Nayagarh Bypass on NH-57- Rigdol–Belgaon stretch on NH-59- Reamal Bypass on NH-53 - Kotpad Bypass on NH-63
Five road and bridge projects worth Rs 274.98 crore were also inaugurated. These include:
- Taladanda Canal Right Embankment Road in Cuttack- Ichhapur–Basudevpur Road in Bhadrak- Dhenkanal–Kaimati–Joranda Road in Dhenkanal- Bijepur–Dublabahal Road in Bargarh - Deobandha–Chandahandi via Fatki Road in Nabarangapur

Foundation stones were also laid for three infrastructure projects worth Rs 379.84 crore. These are:
- Kathajodi high level bridge in Cuttack- Dhalpur–Harabhanga Road in Boudh - Nuapada–Ghatipada section of NH-353 (widening work).
